A few years back, I was content to share the bounty from my two fig trees with yellow jackets and hornets. Then one day at a local hardware store, I noticed a large display of yellow jacket traps that claimed to be number one in popularity. I purchased two, hoping to solve my problem. During the course of that summer, each trap would catch between 10 and 20 yellow jackets, but no hornets every two weeks. Two years ago, I noticed a display of beehive shaped traps that claimed to be not only effective against yellow jackets, but also effective against hornets. I purchased two, thinking that now I had covered all the bases. Wrong. Each of the new traps would not only capture a half dozen each of yellowjacket and hornets, but also at least 30 or more flies, every ten days.

Then last year, while I was shopping at Mclendon's Hardware in Woodinville, I mentioned my yellow jacket and hornet problem to the store's old-timer. Without hesitating, he took me to where the insecticides were, put an Oak Stump Trap in my hand and said, "This will do the trick, it's the only one". I purchased one, but then after seeing the initial results, I went back for another. The results for the two traps for the first two week period was 105 and 110 yellow jackets and hornets. The results for the second two week period was 118 and 128 yellow jackets and hornets.

This year, I donated to charity the four traps that I purchased before buying your Oak Stump trap, then went back and purchased two more of your traps. Now, I have the north, east, south and west sides of my fig trees protected and can share my bounty with neighbors and still have enough for drying and fig bread. Thank you!
